CO-FOUNDER
Martin Eichhorn
Martin is a Co‑Founder of Agribeetle and a specialist in value chain and market systems transformation, with over 15 years’ experience in economic development and sustainability. He focuses on strengthening smallholder supply chains through root‑cause analysis, strategic target‑setting and climate‑resilience programming.
His work spans the intersection of trade, living income, regenerative agriculture and carbon project design, and he has led multidisciplinary teams across Africa, Australia and the Americas. Martin combines systems thinking, economic modelling and practical field insight to design interventions that improve viability for producers, enterprises and investors.
He holds an MCom in Applied Economics from the University of Cape Town and an M2R in International Economics from Université Paris 1 Panthéon‑Sorbonne.
CO-FOUNDER
Luca Desideri
Luca is a Co Founder of Agribeetle and a Senior Consultant with over 18 years of international experience in agricultural and rural development. He specialises in agricultural and value chain development and the design and management of large scale programmes that strengthen rural economies and support sustainable agrifood systems. His work bridges technical expertise with strategic planning, supporting public and private actors to develop resilient, commercially viable and climate aligned agricultural initiatives.
Throughout his career, Luca has worked extensively on agricultural finance, enterprise upgrading and market system development, helping to structure programmes and investment strategies that improve productivity, strengthen producer organisations and enhance long term sector performance. He has held senior advisory and product leadership roles with organisations including Fairtrade International and the European Investment Bank, and founded Agrilab, an ISO accredited agricultural services and research centre serving regional agribusiness and development partners.
Luca holds an MSc in Sustainable Development, Rural development and Change from SOAS, University of London, and a BSc in Agricultural Science from the University of Tuscia.
STRATEGIC ADVISOR
Robyn Cooper
Robyn is a rural development and sustainable food systems expert with over a decade of experience leading international multi-stakeholder initiatives. Her expertise lies in facilitating complex research at the intersection of nature, climate, and livelihoods for global organisations such as PepsiCo, Unilever, and Danone. Previously, she led the Crops Working Group at SAI Platform and served on the Millennial Board for Illovo Sugar Africa, where she designed asset-based community development models. Robyn holds an MA (Distinction) in Globalization, Business, and Development from the Institute of Development Studies and a BA Hons in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.

Finn Hindmarch
Finn is currently pursuing a BCom Hons. in Economics at the University of Cape Town. He holds a BSocSci with distinction in Economics, Politics, and Philosophy (PPE) from UCT and completed an exchange at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam focusing on econometrics and comparative politics.
